NTPC moves up on getting investment approval for Lara Super Thermal Power Project

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 220.75, up by 0.40 points or 0.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 220.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 221.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 221.95 and Rs. 220.25 respectively. So far 49664 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 226.60 on 01-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 155.05 on 28-Sep-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 222.00 and Rs. 217.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 214005.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.10% and 2.80% respectively.

NTPC has received investment approval for Lara Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-II (2x800 MW) at an appraised current estimated cost of Rs 15,529.99 crore. The Board of Directors of the Company has accorded investment approval for the same. 

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
