Coal India gains as its arm records 61% growth in output in February

Coal India is currently trading at Rs. 189.10, up by 0.45 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 188.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 189.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 191.20 and Rs. 186.65 respectively. So far 773713 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 203.85 on 06-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 123.45 on 19-Apr-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 198.00 and Rs. 171.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 116660.45 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.94% and 5.93% respectively.

Coal India’s subsidiary -- Bharat Coking Coal (BCCL) has recorded 61 percent growth in its production to 3.24 million tonne (MT) in February this year over the corresponding month last fiscal. The company has achieved a record growth in coal production and dispatch in February 2022 as compared to the same month last fiscal.  The coal off-take was at 2.93 MT last month, up by 66 percent from 1.76 MT in the year-ago month.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
