Bharti Airtel gains on reporting 49% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 840.70, up by 8.70 points or 1.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 832.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 834.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 838.90 and Rs. 821.50 respectively. So far 127821 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 841.30 on 1-Nov-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 629.05 on 14-Jul-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 841.30 and Rs. 804.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 491509.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.13%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.75% and 4.10% respectively.

Bharti Airtel has reported net profit of Rs 948.90 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2022 as against net loss of Rs 132.80 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year. Total income of the company increased by 29.10% to Rs 22,157.00 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 17,162.30 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 49.09% in its net profit at Rs 2,978.90 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2022 as compared to Rs 1,998.10 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 22.13% to 34,728.70 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 28,435.20 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.
