`Shades of Zaheer`: Sushila Meena, talented Rajasthan girl, whose bowling impressed Sachin Tendulkar
Hailing from a small village in Rajasthan’s Pratapgarh, Sushila Meena has become ‘talk of the town’ in cricketing world. Lack of professional training, special facilities couldn’t deter her determination towards cricket as she earned praise from Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin, widely regarded as ‘God of Cricket’, lauded her ‘smooth’ bowling action, comparing it with former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan. Taking to microblogging site ‘X’, Sachin Tendulkar said that Sushila’s bowling action has ‘shades of Zaheer Khan’. After getting recognition from cricket’s ‘GOAT’, Sushila has been adopted by State Cricket Association where she would enhance cricketing nuances. Rajasthan Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore was seen practicing with Sushila Meena on the ground. While talking to ANI, Sushila Meena credited her school teacher Ishwar Meena for teaching cricketing skills.
