Zomato inches up on acquiring OTPL, WEPL

Zomato is currently trading at Rs. 256.20, up by 0.20 points or 0.08% from its previous closing of Rs. 256.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 257.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 257.80 and Rs. 255.20 respectively. So far 471845 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 280.00 on 19-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 92.61 on 29-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 269.75 and Rs. 255.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 226590.69 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 69.90% and 30.10%, stake in the company respectively.

Zomato has completed the acquisition of Orbgen Technologies (OTPL) and Wasteland Entertainment (WEPL) on August 27, 2024. Earlier, the company had entered into Share Purchase and Subscription Agreement (SPSA) with One 97 Communications (OCL), Wasteland Entertainment (WEPL), and Orbgen Technologies (OTPL) to inter-alia acquire the entertainment ticketing business of OCL, OTPL and WEPL.

Zomato has acquired the entire stake owned by OCL in OTPL and WEPL through a share purchase transaction, resulting in OTPL and WEPL becoming wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company.
