In an interview with ANI on November 8, Austrian Ambassador to India Katharina Wieser discussed the Austria-India relationship, noting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Austria, the first in 41 years, marked a significant milestone in their recent ties. She added that the visit strengthened bilateral relations, expressing satisfaction at achieving this after such a long interval.
“The visit of PM Modi to Austria after 41 years was a high point in the relations we have had over the past few years. We are celebrating 75 years of bilateral relations... It gave a boost to our bilateral relations and very happy that we were able to pull that off after a long time... Good relations with the United States are very important to Austria. We have a very strong trans-Atlantic partnership and we are confident that we maintain good relations with the United States, no matter the President of the United States”, said Katharina Wieser.
