Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya on December 23 said, "The issue on which Congress, Samajwadi Party or Bahujan Samaj Party are protesting does not need such protest. It is being worked upon ever since the BJP came to power at the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prime Minister Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and our other national leaders, all are worshippers of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Ambedkar and are dedicated to the welfare of the poor... I would like to tell Mayawati that she should focus on strengthening her party and Samajwadi Party and Congress should save their parties..."
