Vraj Iron & Steel surges on receiving consent to operate for expansion project of Sponge Iron and Power Plant
Vraj Iron & Steel is currently trading at Rs. 236.60, up by 8.55 points or 3.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 228.05 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 234.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 242.30 and Rs. 231.00 respectively. So far 15035 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 296.15 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 210.00 on 14-Aug-2024.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 242.30 and Rs. 221.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 780.37 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.60% and 20.44% respectively.
Vraj Iron & Steel has received consent to operate for its expansion project of Sponge Iron and Power Plant located at Village Dighora, Chhattisgarrh from the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board.
Earlier, the company had invested Rs 12.59 crore towards purchase of 41,95,750 equity shares of Rs 10 each at a price of Rs 30 per share of Vraj Metaliks and the said transfer has been registered in the name of Vraj Iron & Steel dated September 23, 2024.
Vraj Iron & Steel is engaged in manufacturing of Sponge Iron, M.S. Billets, and TMT bars under the brand Vraj.
