Vikas Lifecare zooms on entering into technology transfer agreement

Vikas Lifecare is currently trading at Rs. 4.52, up by 0.18 points or 4.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 4.34 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4.27 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4.65 and Rs. 4.27 respectively. So far 3064829 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 7.92 on 23-Jan-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 4.05 on 18-Nov-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4.69 and Rs. 4.18 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 840.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 14.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.50% and 85.30% respectively.

Vikas Lifecare has entered into a Technology Transfer agreement with the Advanced Systems Laboratory (ASL), DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Government of India, Hyderabad. This collaboration centres around the breakthrough technology developed by DRDO for ‘Granules for Biodegradable Bags,’ offering a sustainable alternative to conventional single-use polyethylene bags.

While DRDO is primarily known for its work in defence and strategic technology, it also undertakes research and development in areas with significant civilian applications, including environmental sustainability and industrial advancements.

The biodegradable granules technology developed by DRDO and licensed to the company offers significant economic benefits. It provides a cost-effective alternative to traditional polyethylene bags, aligning with the growing global demand for eco-friendly packaging solutions.

Under this agreement, DRDO grants the company a non-exclusive license to manufacture these bio-degradable granules in India and market them both domestically and internationally for the next 10 years.
