Union Minister Piyush Goyal on August 19 celebrated Raksha Bandhan with CAA beneficiary women in Delhi. Refugee women who recently received citizenship certificates tied Rakhis to Piyush Goyal. Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Aug 18 distributed citizenship certificates to 188 refugee sisters-brothers under CAA in Ahmedabad. Notably, hundreds of refugees have been accorded the citizenship certificates since the implementation of CAA on March 11.
