Union Min Scindia Highlights India`s infrastructure power, announces Rs.11.5 lakh Cr Investment for 2024
Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M Scindia, highlighted the significant economic impact of infrastructure investments and stated that every Re 1 invested generates a GDP multiplier of 2.5 to 3.5. He also announced a capital expenditure allocation of Rs.11.5 lakh crore, with annual growth expected to be 10-15%.
At a press conference, Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M Scindia says, “If we look at it from a financial perspective, The GDP multiplier of Re 1 invested in infrastructure is 2.5 to 3.5. Infrastructure is one of the greatest economic multipliers… Investments of 11.5 lakh crore have been allocated for capital expenditure within one year. Every year, this investment has a growth of 10-15%... According to a report, investments in infrastructure assume 5.3% of the GDP and will reach 6.5% by 2039…”
