Torrent Power jumps on incorporating nine wholly owned subsidiaries

Torrent Power is currently trading at Rs. 1790.00, up by 44.05 points or 2.52% from its previous closing of Rs. 1745.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1780.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1849.80 and Rs. 1756.35 respectively. So far 37110 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1906.55 on 31-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 620.00 on 21-Aug-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1849.80 and Rs. 1733.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 85987.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.57%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.42% and 17.01% respectively.

Torrent Power has incorporated nine wholly owned subsidiaries. The company has incorporated subsidiaries from Torrent Urja 19 to Torrent Urja 27. The company has received certificates of incorporation on August 7, 2024. 

These subsidiaries are incorporated with object to carry on the business of manufacture, process, produce, assemble, alter, purchase, refine, treat, reduce, distil, blend, purify, store, hold, transport, use, experiment with, supply, sell, import, export, trade and generally deal in hydrogen, its byproducts and/or its derivatives like ammonia, chemicals, compressed natural gas and mineral substances and Generation, transmission, distribution, purchase, procurement, sale, trading, import, export, storage of power, Hydrogen and/or its derivatives like ammonia or otherwise deal in all forms of non-conventional, renewable, green, hydro power, or any other sources of energy including electrical power and energy in all aspects.

Torrent Power is an integrated utility engaged in the business of power generation, transmission and distribution with operations in the states of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
