The noise of the world is bothering you, listen to your inner voice with `sound healing`, you will be stress-free

 

All days are not the same, we have often heard our elders say this. It is true, there are some moments in life when everything seems blurry. There are people around, but silence resonates inside. Neither words work, nor any advice. The mind is simply tired, and in such a situation 'sound healing' emerges as a boon.

Sound healing is an ancient treatment method, in which mental, physical and spiritual balance is achieved by using special sounds and vibrations.

This method has been prevalent for thousands of years in ancient India, China and Tibet. Today this science also believes that sound waves can affect our brain waves. Scientists also prove this.

When we listen to the sound of an instrument like a Tibetan singing bowl or a tuning fork, it helps shift our brain’s brainwaves into the alpha (8–12 Hz), theta (4–8 Hz), and delta (0.5–4 Hz) ranges.

A 2016 study (Goldsby, Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine) found that participants had a significant decrease in stress and anxiety levels after sound bowl therapy. This was due to their brainwaves becoming calmer.

The vibrations of sound bowls help shift the brain into alpha and theta waves (waves associated with relaxation and meditation). This reduces cortisol (stress hormone) levels, which helps relieve stress and regular sound therapy improves sleep quality, especially in people who are struggling with anxiety or depression.

The rhythmic vibration of sound bowls also balances the body's biological rhythms (e.g. heartbeat, breathing), thereby maintaining a balance in heart rate and breathing. Several studies from the NIH have found that regular sound healing can lower blood pressure, which in turn reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Sound healing is not magic, nor does it work the same for everyone. But it can be a gentle, powerful way to listen to your inner voice when the sounds of the world seem overwhelming.

It is a vibration beyond words, pulling us out of despair and into hope and life.
