On being asked about attending the grand wedding of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Shankaracharya during the press conference in UP’s Varanasi on July 16, praised it for the cultural adherence. During the address, he commended the Ambani family for not including the non-vegetarian cuisines and alcohol during the traditional ceremonies and functions. “When we were informed about the wedding by the Ambani family in which lots of functions are being organised, but none of the day liquor was served…Thousands of dishes are being cooked on several occasions but non-vegetarian foods were avoided… Every rules and regulations were followed… This wedding was held following the culture and tradition, so we decided to give our blessing,” said Swami Avimukteshwaranand Shankaracharya
