An investor education initiative that aims to empower and support women to begin their financial independence journey
HDFC Mutual Fund, one of India’s largestMutual Funds, has extended its #BarniSeAzadi campaign -firstlaunched in 2021 - to promote financial independence for women. Through this campaign, the company urges women to free their money from traditional savings methods and invest in Mutual Funds (MFs), so as to give their hard-earned money a chance to grow. This campaign reiterates the importance of conscious effort to create financial awareness.
Thecampaign is based on the insight that Indians have always saved money in traditional instruments like Barnis, lockers, FDs etc. It drives home a strong message that Indian women should break old stereotypes, and realize that money just kept aside will never grow overtime, thereby understanding the difference between savings and investment.
