Sportking gains on starting commercial operations of solar power project

Sportking India is currently trading at Rs. 183.30, up by 1.80 points or 0.99% from its previous closing of Rs. 181.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 184.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 185.65 and Rs. 181.95 respectively. So far 3054 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 198.20 on 01-Jun-2026 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.44 on 21-Jan-2026.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 187.50 and Rs. 176.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2325.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 74.36%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.24% and 25.40% respectively.

Sportking India has successfully commenced commercial operations of its solar power project in Punjab with effect from June 18, 2026. The commissioning of the project is expected to generate substantial long-term benefits for the company and is projected to reduce the company's power costs by around 12-13% annually.

In addition to strengthening operational efficiencies, the project reinforces the company's environmental and social objectives by reducing its carbon footprint and increasing the share of clean energy in its overall power consumption. The successful commissioning of this project reflects the company's continued focus on creating sustainable value for all stakeholders while optimizing operating costs and enhancing competitiveness.

Earlier, the company had executed a Solar Power Purchase Agreement (SPPA) with M/s Evincea Renewable Seven on August 2, 2025, for the generation and supply of solar power to its facilities in Punjab.
