Rupee trades flat against US dollar on Friday
Indian rupee was trading flat against the US dollar in early trade on Friday amid weaker American currency at overseas markets following signals by the US Federal Reserve to cut interest rates next year. Foreign Institutional Investors were net buyers in the capital market on Thursday as they bought shares worth Rs 3,570.07 crore, exchange data showed. Meanwhile, a rebound in crude oil prices weighed on sentiments.
The partially convertible currency is currently trading flat at its previous close of 83.30 on Thursday. The currency touched a high and low of 83.3225 and 83.2900 respectively.
