REC rises as its arm incorporates two wholly owned subsidiary companies
REC is currently trading at Rs. 296.10, up by 1.90 points or 0.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 294.20 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 296.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 297.95 and Rs. 294.05 respectively. So far 220936 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 299.10 on 16-Oct-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 91.00 on 17-Oct-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 299.10 and Rs. 288.65 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77864.43 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.63%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.50% and 12.87% respectively.
REC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- REC Power Development & Consultancy has incorporated two Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) Companies. These subsidiaries are named as Rajasthan IV H1 Power Transmission and Rajasthan IV E Power Transmission. The companies are also subsidiary company of REC, in terms of the provisions of Section 2(87) of the Companies Act, 2013.
Rajasthan IV H1 Power Transmission has been incorporated to develop Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ PhIV (Part-2:5.5 GW) (Jaisalmerl Barmer Complex): Part H1. Rajasthan IV E Power Transmission has been incorporated to develop Transmission system for evacuation of power from Rajasthan REZ PhIV (Part-2 :5.5 GW) (Jaisalmerl Barmer Complex): Part E.
REC is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric cooperatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
