"Rupee traded positive with gains of 0.35rs at 85.75, marking its second consecutive session of strength following a sharp recovery from the recent low of 86.80 seen on April 9, 2025. The rebound has been largely driven by a sharp decline in the dollar index over the past few sessions, which has provided substantial support to emerging market currencies, including the rupee.
The financial sector's resilience has also contributed to rupee stability, cushioning it against broader volatility in global markets. While underlying concerns around trade tariffs and global growth persist, the current momentum reflects improved sentiment and capital flow stability.
Rupee is expected to remain volatile within a broad range of 85.00–87.00, with further moves likely guided by dollar index trends, macroeconomic data, and global risk cues."
