Resistance stands at 25,850-25,900, support at 25,550-25,600, while the RSI at 51.54 indicates a neutral-to-positive momentum bias
Bank Nifty opened flat and extended its bullish move to an intraday high of 61,517, before witnessing a 480-point correction, indicating profit booking at higher levels. After a phase of sideways consolidation, the index recovered and closed at 61,264.25, posting a marginal gain of 92.25 points, refecting underlying strength and buying support. Resistance lies at 61,500-61,600, support at 60,900-61,000, with RSI at 59.63 showing positive momentum.
After remaining net sellers for the previous two sessions, Foreign Institutional Investors (FIls) turned net buyers on February 23, purchasing equities worth ?3,843 crore. With this, they also turned net buyers for the month. Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) of baded equities worth 1,292 crore.
Amid ongoing global uncertainties and heightened volatility, traders should adopt a cautious and selective approach, prioritizing fundamentally strong stocks, especially during market dips. Avoid aggressive positioning at current levels. A fresh buying opportunity may emerge only after a decisive and sustained breakout above the 26,000 mark on the Nifty, which would conf in a bullish bias b and indicate strengthening market sentiment. Until then, maintain disciplined risk management and a stock-specific strategy."
