Punjab & Sind Bank trades higher on reporting 27% rise in Q2 net profit

Punjab & Sind Bank is currently trading at Rs. 53.29, up by 0.36 points or 0.68% from its previous closing of Rs. 52.93 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 54.19 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 54.77 and Rs. 52.80 respectively. So far 48333 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 77.50 on 05-Feb-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 36.55 on 26-Oct-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 54.77 and Rs. 50.51 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 35888.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 98.25%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.65% and 1.10% respectively.

Punjab & Sind Bank has reported 26.71% rise in its net profit at Rs 239.59 crore for second quarter ended September 30, 2024 as compared to Rs 189.09 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 15.84% at Rs 3,097.86 crore for Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 2,674.15 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Punjab & Sind Bank’s primary business is taking deposits, and making advances and investments, and is principally divided into retail banking, corporate banking, priority sector banking, treasury operations and other banking services such as agency functions for insurance, distribution of mutual funds and pension and tax collection services.
