In a relief for consumers across the country, Union Government on March 14 slashed the prices of petrol and diesel by 2 rupees. Speaking over the price slash, Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on March 15 said after the price slash, there is now a massive difference between BJP and non-BJP ruled states.He said, “The interesting thing is that the states ruled by the BJP and those by the non-BJP have a massive price differential...This is a courageous move by them (oil companies), but I think after having three good quarters, they must have felt that the next quarter will also be good.
