PM Narendra Modi announces `Mission Amrit`, to setup water and sewage treatment plants in cities
While addressing an event to mark the 10 years of the Swachh Bharat Mission, PM Narendra Modi announced that new water and sewage treatment plants will be set up in various cities as part of Mission Amrut.
He said, “On this significant juncture, cleanliness projects worth Rs 10000 crores have been inaugurated. As part of Mission Amrut, water and sewage treatment plants will be set up in various cities. Be it work related to Namami Gange or the 'Govardhan' plant for the production of biogas from garbage, all this will take the Swacch Bharat Mission to new heights...”
