Panic grips Udhampur village as Leopardess and two cubs spotted near habitations
Panic has spread across Ritti village in Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district following repeated sightings of a leopardess and her two cubs near residential areas. Residents say the animal has been roaming near the village for the past week and has already preyed on several dogs, raising concerns for the safety of people and livestock. Acting on local complaints, the Wildlife Department has launched a search operation, deployed patrol teams, and installed traps in the area. Officials said efforts are underway to locate and safely rescue the leopardess and her cubs as fear continues to grip the village.
