Speaking on appointing civil defence volunteers as home guards and deputing them as marshals in public transport buses, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot on October 28 claimed that obstacles are being created for their functioning.
“Obstacles are being created for continuing the functioning of bus marshals in Delhi. The CM never said that civil defence employees or bus marshals should be removed. We had asked to release the salary of bus marshals. It is wrong to say the CM has asked to remove them. CM has ordered me to deploy bus marshals as Home Guards,” said Kailash Gahlot.
