Goa CM Pramod Sawant initiates Organ Donation Program
Chief Minister of Goa Pramod Sawant on September 28 spoke about the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Initiative for Organ Donation program. He urged every citizen to come forward and donate their organs for those who need it, saying that he himself donated his liver, kidney, and cornea to initiate the program. "The organ donation program was started by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, at the Government of India level. That same program was started by our BJP Medical Cell in Goa. I myself pledged my organs - liver, kidney, and cornea - and started this program...I urge everyone in Goa to come forward and donate organs," said Pramod Sawant
