India`s fuel demand in December rose 2.1% y/y
India's fuel demand in December rose 2.1% compared with the same month in 2023, government data showed on Tuesday.
Consumption of fuel, a proxy for oil demand, rose to 20.67 million metric tons, data from the oil ministry's Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) showed.
Sales of gasoline, or petrol, were up 10.8% at 3.3 million tons.
Diesel consumption was up 6% at 8.1 million tons.
