NTPC Green Energy gains as its JV to acquire 100% equity stake in Ayana Renewable Power

NTPC Green Energy is currently trading at Rs. 108.00, up by 0.60 points or 0.56% from its previous closing of Rs. 107.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 108.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 109.55 and Rs. 107.75 respectively. So far 139244 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 155.30 on 04-Dec-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 104.85 on 12-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 113.20 and Rs. 104.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 90920.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 89.01%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.46% and 3.53% respectively.

ONGC NTPC Green (ONGPL), a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) and ONGC Green (OGL), has signed a share purchase agreement with National Investment and Infrastructure Fund, BII South Asia Renewables, British International Investment Plc, CDC India Opportunities and Eversource Capital managed GGEF for acquisition of 100% equity stake in Ayana Renewable Power (Ayana). Ayana is a 4.1 GW Renewable Energy platform with operational and under construction assets and having enterprise value of around Rs 19500 crore.

The aforesaid acquisition is, subject to completion of Condition Precedents and other terms and conditions, as per Share Purchase Agreement executed between the parties and approvals, as may be required under applicable laws.

A 'Maharatna' central public sector enterprise, NTPC Green Energy holds a renewable energy portfolio that includes solar and wind power assets spread across more than six states.
