Hero MotoCorp gains on reporting 8% rise in total sales in August

Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 5262.40, up by 20.25 points or 0.39% from its previous closing of Rs. 5242.15 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 5260.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 5315.30 and Rs. 5210.00 respectively. So far 19102 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 6245.00 on 24-Sep-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3322.60 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5315.30 and Rs. 5061.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 105192.68 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.74%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.88% and 10.38% respectively.
Hero MotoCorp has dispatched 553,727 motorcycles and scooters in August 2025, reflecting an 8.07% growth compared to 512,360 motorcycles and scooters in August 2024. In the domestic business, the company sold 519,139 units in August 2025, while the company has exported 34,588 units during the same month.
Of the total sales, the company has sold 501,523 units of Motorcycles in the month of August 2025, a growth of 4.87% over 478,215 units sold in August 2024. Besides, the company has sold 52,204 units of Scooters in the reporting period, a rise of 52.89% over 34,145 units sold in the corresponding month of previous year.
The company recorded 3.44 lakh VAHAN registrations, indicating consistent demand in both urban and rural areas. While the ongoing monsoon season has had an anticipated effect on retail sales, a positive turnaround is expected in the coming months.
