NLC India surges as its arm incorporates joint venture to undertake green energy projects

NLC India is currently trading at Rs. 237.70, up by 4.50 points or 1.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 233.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 233.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 238.90 and Rs. 233.25 respectively. So far 46985 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 311.65 on 16-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 185.85 on 17-Feb-2025.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 244.50 and Rs. 232.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32960.35 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 72.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 21.85% and 5.95% respectively.

NLC India’s wholly owned subsidiary -- NLC India Renewables (NIRL) has incorporated a Joint Venture Company (JVC) with Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam (RVUNL) under the name and style of ‘NIRL Rajasthan Renewables’ with equity participation of 74:26 respectively, to undertake Green Energy Projects. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has issued a Certificate of Incorporation for the same on June 02, 2025.

NLC India is a Navratna Government of India Enterprise, under the administrative control of Ministry of Coal. The company is engaged in the business of mining of Lignite, Coal and generation of power by using lignite as well as Renewable Energy Sources and consultancy.
