Market Update:
In October 2025, India's key stock indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50, finished the month with moderate gains. Both the BSE Sensex & Nifty 50 climbed up to 4%. Mutual Fund Updates:
As per AMFI, the Mutual Fund Industry's Assets under Management (AUM) increased to Rs. 79.87 lakh crores in October 2025, compared to Rs. 75.61 lakh crores recorded in September 2025. The Mutual Fund industry recorded a net inflow of Rs. 2.15 lakh crore in October 2025, decreasing from net inflow of Rs. 0.43 lakh crore seen in the previous month. Monthly SIP flows stood up at Rs. 29,529 crores in October 2025 vs. Rs. 28,265 crores in September 2025.In a recent consultation paper, SEBI has proposed a reduction in the total expense ratio (TER) to some extent. This is largely due to the exclusion of external taxes and charges from the TER, such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), stamp duty, Securities Transaction Tax (STT), and Commodity Transaction Tax (CTT).Tata Mutual Fund has announced a change in fund management responsibilities for Tata Banking and Financial Services Fund, Tata Children's Fund, and Tata Value Fund, effective October 31, 2025. UTI Mutual Fund has announced the resumption of subscriptions in its Silver ETF Fund of Fund, effective October 27, 2025.
