The Indian Space Research Organisation is set to launch its first Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle PSLV-C58 on January 01 from Sriharikota’s Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Andhra Pradesh. The launch of the X-Ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat) is scheduled for 9:10 am. The mission would carry primary payload XPoSat and ten other satellites to be deployed in low earth orbits. XPoSat is India’s first dedicated polarimetry mission to study various dynamics of bright astronomical X-ray sources in extreme conditions.
