Market Commentary

Overnight global action was mixed: On 30th July 2025, U.S. markets were mixed with S&P 500 down by -7.9 pts (-0.12%), Dow Jones was down by -171 pts (-0.38%) and Nasdaq was up by +37 pts (+0.16%). India VIX was down by ~2.78%. GIFT Nifty is trading negative at ~24,655 (-199 pts, -0.80%) indicating Indian markets will open negative.

Yesterday, advance decline ratio on NSE was 1507 : 1463 and BSE was 1,992 : 2,023, which showed sluggishness in the overall markets.

Index Options Data Analysis:

Sensex max call OI and max put OI both are at 81,500 with PCR of 0.84

Nifty max call OI is at 25,000 and max put OI is at 24,800 with PCR of 0.78

Bank Nifty max call OI is at 57,000 and max put OI is at 56,000 with PCR of 0.56

Sectors in Focus:

FMCG : Nifty realty index was up by 0.24% with Britannia (+2.28%), Varun Beverages Ltd (+1.45%) and Tata Consumers (+1.36%) among the top gainers.

IT : Nifty IT index was up by 0.31%, Coforge (+1.6%), LTI Mindtree (+1.41%) and Mphasis (+0.85%) were leading the index.

Auto : Nifty Auto was down by -0.6% with Motherson (-3.65%), Tata Motors (-3.52%) and Bharat Forge (-2.25%) contributing negatively to the index.

Metal : Nifty metal index was down by -0.11%, top losers were SAIL (-1.42%), National Aluminum (-1.33%) and Hindustan Zinc (-1.2%).

Media : Zee Ltd (-1.86%), Sun TV (-0.91%) and Tips Music (- 0.74%) dragged the Nifty media index by -0.79%

Realty : Nifty realty index was down by -0.96% with Brigade Enterprises (-2.29%), DLF (-1.67%) and Godrej Properties (- 1.12%) among the laggards.
