Market Outlook:
 Markets opened mixed on 11th June 2026 following a negative US session, with S&P 500 down -0.73%, Dow Jones -1.03%, and Nasdaq -0.99%. Gift Nifty gained +0.33% (+77 pts), signaling a positive domestic opening. Advance-decline ratio on NSE was 1035:2258 and on BSE 1399:2818, indicating weakness in overall breadth. Nifty Auto declined -0.74% led by Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd. (-2.1%) and Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. (-2.09%), while Nifty FMCG gained +1.05% on Nestle India Ltd. (+2%) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (+1.72%). Nifty Realty fell -1.74% with Anant Raj Ltd. (-4%) and Lodha Developers Ltd. (-3.96%), and Nifty Oil & Gas dropped -1.48% due to Oil India Ltd. (-10.2%) and Chennai Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (-10.21%). Nifty PSU Bank declined -1.39% led by Indian Bank (-4.7%) and Canara Bank (-4.74%), while Nifty Chemicals rose +0.69% on Himadri Speciality Chemical Ltd. (+6.7%) and Coromandel International Ltd. (+1.92%) .


FII and DII Activity:
 Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net sellers of Rs2,125 crore, while Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) were net buyers of Rs3,124 crore. Derivative data indicates Sensex max call OI at 74,500 and max put OI at 74,000 (PCR 0.84), Nifty max call OI 23,500, max put OI 23,200 (PCR 0.82), and Bank Nifty max call/put OI at 55,000 (PCR 0.99), highlighting cautious positioning by institutions .

 

Sector Activity:
 Sectoral performance was mixed. Nifty IT fell -0.83%, Nifty Auto -0.74%, Nifty FMCG +1.05%, Nifty Realty -1.74%, Nifty Oil & Gas -1.48%, Nifty PSU Bank -1.39%, and Nifty Chemicals +0.69%. Top gainers included Nestle India Ltd., Hindustan Unilever Ltd., Axis Bank Ltd., Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd., and ICICI Bank Ltd., while top losers were Eternal Ltd., ONGC Ltd., Infosys Ltd., Coal India Ltd., and Hindalco Ltd.. Broader indices such as Nifty 200 and Nifty Next 50 also reflected selective sector performance with winners like Coromandel International Ltd. (+4.07%) and Shree Cement Ltd. (+1.86%) .

 Derivative positioning remained stock-specific. Long build-up: Bharat Forge Ltd. (+6.7%), Pidilite Industries Ltd. (+5.6%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (+0.8%), Sun Pharma Ltd. (+0.7%), Phoenix Mills Ltd. (+0.6%). Short build-up: Oil India Ltd. (+13.2%), Siemens Ltd. (+11%), IRFC (+9.5%), GVT&D (+8.2%), KFin Technologies Ltd. (+7.1%). Long unwinding: Federal Bank Ltd. (-5.5%), SBI (-5.5%), BPCL (-3.8%), Hind Zinc Ltd. (-3.8%), JSW Energy Ltd. (-3.3%). Short covering: Policybazaar Ltd. (-6.4%), PowerGrid Ltd. (-3.5%), GAIL India Ltd. (-3.1%), Power India Ltd. (-3.1%) .
