Market Outlook

In the Indian market, selling pressure remained intact for the fourth consecutive week, keeping the sell-on-rise bias throughout the sessions. The key benchmark Nifty50 index declined by more than a percent during the week and slipped towards the 23,900-23,800 zone. Meanwhile, the banking index showed relative resilience above the immediate support zone of 57,000 and settled with a marginal decline of 0.22%, supported by buying interest in major private banking counters, except HDFC Bank. On the derivatives front, fresh call writing intensified at the 24,000 and 24,200 strikes, indicating a stiff overhead resistance zone.
