Cummins India trades higher on reporting 23% rise in Q2 consolidated net profit

Cummins India is currently trading at Rs. 1728.10, up by 27.85 points or 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 1700.25 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1718.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1798.45 and Rs. 1692.50 respectively. So far 38160 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1981.15 on 01-Aug-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1305.10 on 09-Nov-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1798.45 and Rs. 1674.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49173.89 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 38.64% and 10.36% respectively.

Cummins India has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2023 (Q2FY24). 

The company has reported 30.16% rise in its net profit at Rs 328.51 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 252.38 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 0.24% at Rs 2031.91 crore for Q2FY24 as compared to Rs 2036.74 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 23.11% rise in its net profit at Rs 329.09 crore for Q2FY24 as compared to Rs 267.31 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 0.74% at Rs 2011.35 crore for Q2FY24 as compared to Rs 2026.26 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
