Chennai Petroleum Corporation gains despite reporting 94% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

Chennai Petroleum Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 600.35, up by 9.55 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 590.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 589.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 604.70 and Rs. 577.10 respectively. So far 38073 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1274.00 on 16-Jul-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 563.05 on 19-Dec-2024.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 621.65 and Rs. 563.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8949.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 67.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.89% and 19.82% respectively.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation has reported 97.09% fall in net profit at Rs 10.46 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 359.99 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 23.31% at Rs 15,687.64 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 20,456.41 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 94.31% fall in its net profit at Rs 20.78 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 365.28 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 23.31% at Rs 15,687.64 crore for Q3FY25 as compared to Rs 20,456.42 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
