Ashok Leyland surges on reporting 20% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 131.65, up by 9.70 points or 7.95% from its previous closing of Rs. 121.95 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 125.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 132.80 and Rs. 125.35 respectively. So far 2294934 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 132.80 on 18-Aug-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 95.20 on 07-Apr-2025.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 132.80 and Rs. 115.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 77406.86 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 37.80% and 10.68% respectively.
Ashok Leyland has reported 12.97% rise in its net profit at Rs 593.73 crore for first quarter ended June 30, 2025 (Q1FY26) as compared to Rs 525.58 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company increased by 1.82% at Rs 8777.36 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 8620.87 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
On consolidated basis, the company has reported 20.02% rise in its net profit at Rs 611.07 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 509.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The total income of the company increased by 9.79% at Rs 11807.20 crore for Q1FY26 as compared to Rs 10754.43 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
