Vedanta surges on the BSE
Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 285.60, up by 6.80 points or 2.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 278.80 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 283.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 288.15 and Rs. 279.95 respectively. So far 822139 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 296.25 on 10-May-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 86.25 on 27-May-2020.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 295.70 and Rs. 268.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 105326.70 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.11%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.89% and 12.67% respectively.
Vedanta’s Aluminium & Power Business has on the occasion of International Day of Families, extended the COVID Kavach Term Insurance Policy for employees of business partners across its plants in Jharsuguda and Lanjigarh in Odisha, and BALCO in Korba, Chhattisgarh. Last year, the company had enhanced its term life insurance for all employees, which also covers any unfortunate circumstance due to COVID.
