Welspun Enterprises shines on bagging Rs 4,636 crore order from BMC

Welspun Enterprises is currently trading at Rs. 101.75, up by 6.45 points or 6.77% from its previous closing of Rs. 95.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 95.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 103.40 and Rs. 95.00 respectively. So far 28291 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 131.00 on 08-Jun-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 69.00 on 12-May-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 103.40 and Rs. 89.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1458.10 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 53.49%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.41% and 41.10% respectively.

Welspun Enterprises (WEL) has received its single-largest order of Rs 4,636 crore from civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the Dharavi Wastewater Treatment Facility. This takes the outstanding order book of the company to around Rs 12,500 crore, of which Rs 6,500 crore is in the water sector and the balance Rs 6,000 crore is from the road sector.

Under this project, a joint venture led by the company will design, build, operate, and maintain the Dharavi Wastewater Treatment Facility including Tertiary treatment facility under Mumbai Sewage Disposal Project, Stage II (Priority Works).
