The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 529.00 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 as compared to Rs 356.79 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 48.27 per cent. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 59.97 per cent at Rs 6,991.00 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 4,370.10 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 65.75 per cent to Rs 6,340.00 crore from Rs 3,825.10 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 15.19 per cent at Rs 34.00 crore versus (Mar'20 Rs 40.09 crore).
Operating Profit surged by 31.70 per cent to Rs 795.00 crore as against Rs 603.65 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 17.67 per cent in March quarter. Interest grew by 18.61 per cent y-o-y to Rs 45.00 crore, while Taxation increased by 8.91 per cent at Rs 173.00 crore (Mar'20 Rs 158.84 crore).
