Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers posts Q4 net profit of Rs 22.44 cr

The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 22.44 crore compared to net loss of Rs 3.93 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 20.68 per cent at Rs 1,356.82 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,124.32 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 21.21 per cent to Rs 1,261.92 crore from Rs 1,041.14 crore in year ago period. Other Income dipped by 12.94 per cent at Rs 14.53 crore versus (Mar'21 Rs 16.69 crore). Operating Profit surged by 34.37 per cent to Rs 111.77 crore as against Rs 83.18 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 11.35 per cent in March quarter. Interest declined by 18.78 per cent y-o-y to Rs 36.38 crore, while Taxation increased by 1146.73 per cent at Rs 11.20 crore (Mar'21 Rs -1.07 crore).
