Som Distilleries posts Q1 net profit of Rs 15.86 cr
The company reported standalone net profit during the quarter stood at Rs 15.86 crore compared to net loss of Rs 7.83 crore in the previous year quarter. Net revenue of the company rose three fold by 433.40 per cent at Rs 185.25 crore in April-June quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 34.73 crore in the corresponding period last year.
During April-June quarter, operating expenses increased by 338.01 per cent to Rs 168.81 crore from Rs 38.54 crore in year ago period. Other Income grew by 700.00 per cent at Rs 6.08 crore versus (Jun'21 Rs 0.76 crore). Operating Profit surged by 531.50 per cent to Rs 16.44 crore as against Rs -3.81 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 181.02 per cent in June quarter. Interest declined by 23.23 per cent y-o-y to Rs 1.95 crore, while Taxation increased by 0.00 per cent at Rs 2.47 crore (Jun'21 Rs 0.00 crore).
