SJVN surges on inking MoU with Rajasthan government
SJVN is currently trading at Rs. 28.55, up by 0.20 points or 0.71% from its previous closing of Rs. 28.35 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 28.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 28.55 and Rs. 28.30 respectively. So far 73603 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 33.80 on 19-Oct-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 25.45 on 26-May-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 28.85 and Rs. 28.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11180.27 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 86.77%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 6.35% and 6.88% respectively.
SJVN has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rajasthan government for developing 10 GW renewable energy projects/parks. With the addition of 10,000 MW capacity, the portfolio of SJVN has now reached 42,000 MW.
Earlier, the Rajasthan government had approved signing an MoU with SJVN for developing 10,000 MW renewable energy projects in the state. These projects/parks will usher in socio-economic development in the state and will open up multiple direct and indirect employment opportunities.
SJVN’s principal business activity is electricity generation. The company is also engaged in the business of providing consultancy.
