Rail Vikas Nigam surges on getting LoA from Southern Railway

Rail Vikas Nigam is currently trading at Rs. 76.65, up by 1.20 points or 1.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 75.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 76.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 77.50 and Rs. 75.95 respectively. So far 261722 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 84.15 on 29-Nov-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 29.00 on 21-Jun-2022.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 79.85 and Rs. 75.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15731.48 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 78.20%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.90% and 12.91% respectively.

Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL) has received LoA for ‘Provision of Automatic Block Signalling with Dual MSDAC, EI/OC Interface and Block Optimization in Arakkonam Junction (AJJ)-Nagari (NG) Section of Chennai (MAS) Division in Southern Railway (Reach-I).’ The project cost is Rs 38.40 crore (including GST).

Earlier, the company had emerged as the Lowest Bidder (L1) for the two works. The first order is for Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Power Supply Receiving & Distribution System, 750 V DC Third Rail Traction Electrification and Scada System for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase-I. The cost of the project is Rs 673.8 crore. The second order is for Supply, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of Power Supply Receiving & Distribution System, 750 V DC Third Rail Traction Electrification and Scada System for Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-II. The cost of project is Rs 384.3 crore.

Rail Vikas Nigam is in the business of executing all types of railway projects including new lines, doubling, gauge conversion, railway electrification, metro projects, workshops, major bridges, construction of cable stayed bridges, institution buildings etc.
