Prakash Industries shines on achieving highest ever sales of steel in Q4FY21

Prakash Industries is currently trading at Rs. 86.05, up by 4.90 points or 6.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 81.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 86.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 88.80 and Rs. 84.35 respectively. So far 229550 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 88.80 on 08-Apr-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 21.50 on 08-Apr-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 88.80 and Rs. 77.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1531.15 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.04%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.26% and 54.70% respectively.

Prakash Industries has achieved highest ever sales of around 2,72,142 tonnes of steel in Q4FY20-21, recording growth of 8.85% (Q-o-Q basis) and 31.16% (Y-o-Y basis). In FY20-21, the company achieved highest ever sales of around 9,54,760 tonnes of steel, a growth of 3.13% over FY19-20 despite disruptions due to COVID-19 pandemic. In FY20-21, DRI Production has been highest ever at 9,05,616 tonnes, recording growth of 10.73% over FY19-20.

Prakash Industries is an integrated steel and power company. Its products include coal mines, iron ore mines, sponge iron, power, steel melting shop and ferro alloys.
