“Indian markets made a strong recovery today, shaking off early losses despite uncertainties tied to the upcoming US presidential election. The Sensex surged over 649 points, ending at 79,431.61, while the Nifty advanced 203 points to close at 24,198.30. Banking stocks led the comeback, with the Bank Nifty climbing over 1,300 points from its session low. Heavyweights like HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank, and SBI gained more than 2% each, fueling the sector’s strong performance. Broader indices followed suit, with the Nifty Midcap 100 and Smallcap 100 gaining around 0.5% each, adding momentum after a weak start to the week. The recovery came on the heels of Monday's drop, where both indices had lost over 1%. In commodities, oil prices moved up as OPEC+ pushed back its December output increase by a month. Brent crude rose 3.1% to $75.34, and WTI increased 3.2% to $71.73. Meanwhile, a softer dollar and cautious sentiment dominated markets as investors awaited clarity from the US election”’
