* The BSE Sensex ended at 52,328.51 up by 228.46 points or 0.44% after trading in a range of 52,378.69 and 52,054.76. There were 21 stocks advancing and 9 stocks declining on the index.

* The broader indices ended in green; the BSE Mid cap index up by 0.78%, and Small cap index was up by 1.38%.

* The top gaining sectoral indices on the BSE were, Oil & Gas was up up by 1.23%, Capital Goods was up by 0.67%, Utilities was up by 3.33%, Telecom was up by 1.49%, Energy was up by 1.44%, and FMCG was up by 0.91%, while, Realty was down by 0.44%, top lossing indices were on BSE.

* There were Power Grid was up by 4.44%, NTPC was up by 4.07%, UltraTech Cement was up by 2.78%, Reliance was up by 1.68%, and Indusind Bank was up by 1.57%, the top gainers were on the Sensex.

* There were Bajaj Finance was down by 2.67%, Bajaj Finserv was down by 2.67%, HDFC was down by 1.33%, SBIN was down by 0.28% and ONGC was down by 0.24%, the top losers were on the Sensex.

* The CNX Nifty ended at 15,751.65 up by 81.40 points or 0.52% after trading in a range of 15,773.45 and 15,678.10. There were 33 stocks advancing and 17 stocks declining.
