* Nifty started the week on a strong note and gained over a percent.
* Most of the sectoral indices participated in the recovery wherein realty, banking, metal and energy packs posted decent gains
* Immediate hurdle around 18,150-18,200 zone. Refrain from aggressive positions.
* Upcoming derivatives expiry would keep the participants busy.
Banknifty
* Banking index has outperformed the benchmark index and gained over two percent.
* The recovery was widespread wherein the PSU pack outshined the private pack.
* A decisive up move above 42,900 could further fuel the recovery.
* Reiterate our preference for private banking counters.
