NHPC jumps on inking MoU with Kerala State Electricity Board
NHPC is currently trading at Rs. 45.60, up by 0.55 points or 1.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 45.05 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 44.96 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 45.78 and Rs. 44.82 respectively. So far 1125921 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 47.88 on 27-Apr-2023 and a 52 week low of Rs. 28.85 on 20-Jun-2022.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 46.23 and Rs. 43.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 45835.49 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.95%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.28% and 5.77% respectively.
NHPC and Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which NHPC will provide consultancy services to KSEB as its Owner’s Engineer for vetting of design of KSEB’s ongoing projects as well as of projects in the pipeline.
Under the MoU, NHPC and KSEB come together for accelerated development of the hydroelectric potential of the state of Kerala, in the most techno-commercially viable manner, as an enabler towards clean energy transition.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
